Who are you marketing to? Twenty Questions.
By admin
It is the most important question or group of questions you should be asking yourself. How did you answer the question? was it one word? monosyllabic? If so then you are not thinking about your customers enough.
This question is actually a group of questions combined. Think in categories of demographics and trends.
Demographics:
-average age
-Location
-income
trends:
-What do they wear?
-what do they listen to?
-what do they value?
Think of 20 questions you can ask yourself about your potential customers. Each answer will be a possible topic that you can use to add value to their lives.
Example: Say I want to sell tshirts to children? Is it enough for me to say “I’m selling tshirts to kids” ? No. I have to ask myself what are kids wearing these days? what neighborhoods are they wearing that style in? Are there any current trends that are popular right now?
That will help me design a shirt that I know will be popular among the kids of my friends in a certain neighborhood or area. That way I a msure to create something that will have real value to that population.
